Readerware VW

Readerware's automatic upload is done by an internet query from which you choose which online databases you want it to scrap. Choices include IMDB, Amazon, Barnes & Noble and more.

Readerware is the only DVD Collection software that would not allow us to automatically upload movies by title. You had to enter a UPC code to assign a query.

When we tested Readerware's query we uploaded two barcodes into a queue and it took almost an entire minute to download the information. This is exceptionally longer than all the other DVD Collection software we reviewed.

We also found searching and filtering movies in our collection quite difficult, especially for those with zero understanding of how a traditional database works. Readerware's search uses more traditional logic where you say indicate "title = word" and the software will look for matches.
